Abstract:
This paper addresses the costs of the development of Multimedia materials in Dance Pedagogy. Though the main line of argument of the author was carried through, constant questioning from an interested audience widened the context considerably, and all these questions and answers have been included here. The strategy of embedding the production of Dance Multimedia titles in a sequence of such material to share costs, and the difference in the lifetime of a sound pedagogical title to those merely following the latest technologically-led fashion was explained. The importance of funding in such strategies and how to raise it with quality multimedia materials was described. A proposal for a low cost CD i Video Shell System was put forward, discussed and costed, followed by a whole series of documents outlining example costs. Finally, the role of funding in the development of the Motif & Variations Resource Pack Project was shown via a series of BI documents.
