Abstract:

This paper examines advances made by the authors in delivery of new pedagogy embedded in qualitative interactive CD resources for dance education. Focusing on pedagogy, it demonstrates use of professional dance works as source material to support development of knowledge/skills in performance, composition and appreciation. In relation to technology, the paper shows how instant access to and control of full-screen real-time video interrelated with worksheet tasks, permits flexible, interactive learning. The uniqueness of this resource as a compendium of learning activities is promoted as a way forward in offering teachers technology ‘toolboxes’ to enhance pupils’ knowledge, creativity and performance skills.
