AUSTRALIA 2005 - WORK and MARKETING SCHEDULE

 

BRISBANE – Queensland

- delivered lecture on Dance Analysis for the Faculty of Creative Industries, Queensland University of Technology on Wednesday 24th August 4-6

- delivered practical workshop for trainee teachers Thursday 25th August 12-2 in above university.

- Delivered 3 hour workshop to the Ausdance Educators Network – Thursday 25th evening from 6.00-9.00pm.

SYDNEY – New South Wales

- Monday 29th August through to Friday 2nd September – worked in Newtown Performing Arts High School with staff and students launching and using our new product Choreographic Outcomes-improving dance composition.

Delivered 2 two practical workshops observed by leader teacher/choreographer or university lecturers to:

- Monday 5th to Saturday 10th September – attended the State Dance Festival for NSW High Schools.

- Delivered 8 two hour practical workshops observed by teachers to:
Nowra High School – Years 9-12
Kirawee High School – Years 7-9
Port Kacking High School Years 10-12
Hunter School of Performing Arts – Year 11
James Fallon High School – Years 7-11
Westfield Sports High School Years 11-12
Kingscliff High School – Years 10—11
NSW Regional Dance Ensemble Years 9-12

- Delivered 2 two hour – lecture-demonstration/practical workshops to NSW primary and secondary teachers.

Attended 3 evening State Dance Festival performances as special guest

 

MELBOURNE – Victoria

- Tuesday 13 & Wednesday 14 September attended the Arts National Education and the Arts Symposium. BIP had a ‘market stall’ in the venue in order to promote our products in Victoria and to delegates from other states – especially South and Western Australia - a National event.

- Thursday September 15 - a full day event held at the Victorian College of Arts especially arranged by AusDance in Victoria for teachers and dance education trainees in Geelong and Melbourne to demonstrate and market all our products.



USA 2005 - WORK and MARKETING SCHEDULE


South Carolina Center for Dance Education – Columbia University

September 30 – 2 workshops for trainee teacher students

October 1st – a full day workshops and lecture demonstrations for South Carolina Dance teachers.

 

Buffalo – NY

October 5-10 attend National Dance Education Organisation 7th Annual Conference as presenter of:

  Paper - Creativity – What is it and how do we develop it in Dance Education?

  Practical Workshop: Developing creative dance compositions through use of innovative technology.

  Exhibitor for BIP – 2 full days.

 

New York City

October 11-15 – give lectures/practical workshops to BA and MA Dance Education students at New York University

October 16 – 4 hour lecture and practical workshop – to Dance Education Laboratory for Teachers - New York Center for Dance Education 92nd Street.
